Couls somebody give me ALL the details i need to make this inc. Materials and A cutting list?
Please i really need help

thats why you BUY the plans, someone has done all the paper work.

40mm thick shelves! WHY so thick? That is a lot of planeing, lots of glue up work. Most wood comes in 1 inch (25mm) thickness.

What are some things I could make for a first time woodworking project?

I’am looking for some woodworking classes, but Im wondering how most people learn, like trial and error or expierence?Would something like this be simple ( I have never made anything of wood) http://www.buildeazy.com/planterbox.html
Any ideas for someone who wants to start woodworking. Thanks.!

the planter box would be a good first project. it will show you that it’s not that easy to just build a square box. also if size is not an issue build a picnic table. pretty easy but has a variety of cuts.

what is the name of the company that sells kits and plans for woodworking?

I get my kits at lowe’s and Wal-Mart but, a good source to start is the woodworker’s journal, it is published twice a month by The Madrigal Publishing Co.Inc P.O.Box 1629, New Milford, CT 06776 or telephone (203)355-2694
You can probably check them out at your local library if you don’t want to order them.

DT MDP project…need help pls!!!?

I was wondering…or if anyone has any ideas..how would you "attach" gyprock/plasterboard to pine wood? I’m just really stuck on how to attach the gyprock/plasterboard to the wooden frame for my MDP project…please give in your ideas…so i could have a wider choice to pick from..right now i really dont have a clue??…i’m trying to keep the cost down a bit so…fingers crossed!! and feel free to message me if you have experience with woodwork..as ill really need tips and tricks in this area..thanks everyone!!! .. =)

My carpenter boyfriend told me to tell you to nail the edges to the pine studs. Dont nail in the centre of the board you will create more work, for your self. Use a stud adesive to clue the centre of the board to the studs.

How to build a cheap guitar?

Hi,
I have a project that I’ve always wanted to complete, but never really knew how. I want to build a guitar for under $20 (since a lot of people have told me it’s impossible, I want to do it even more).
My idea is to build a guitar out of a single, long piece of wood (no body, just one long neck).
I plan to use a piezo buzzer for the pickup(s), and I’m oscillating between putting tuning pegs in, or just stretching the strings to a standard tuning.
So, is this even possible? How would you go about completing such a project? Could anyone give me some advice?
Serious answers please.

Thanks

P.S.
I am a musician, so I do know quite a lot about instruments, but not a lot about actually making them (that, and I’m not really good with woodwork).
P.P.S.
I’m planning to make this "guitar" to scale (i.e. the neck and the frets should be as long and wide as the real thing). It should be a real, serious guitar, just cheaper and without a body (please, no "elastic bands over a tissue box" advice).

This is like asking how to build a car using a piece of chalk, 40 feet of twine, and some bubble gum.

All your effort will result in something that sounds terrible! A guitar is very specialized.. the onnly reason cheap ones are available at all is because the far east mass produces cheap stuff by the billions every day. I suggest some simple percussion instruments that are nearly free to make and actually sound good.

Example: Making chimes out of railroad spikes. Suspend them with fishing line, and cut each one differently so the tones are unique. You can tune them by filing the length to pure tones. Good Luck!
